Check out this improvised stuff from the Novation Circuit and iPad. Some of the apps I used were Groove Rider, GeoShred and iMaschine, with Link-to-MIDI and AudioBus for routing and timing.

Crank it. Maybe it will drown out the aliens.

DJ Mondo’s Atomic Luau: Power Beyond

Smoke on the surface is just an inkling of what lies beneath.

This tune is an improv with all custom loops on the Ampify Launchpad app. It’s so easy with the Ampify Blocs Wave app and AudioBus 3.

Any AudioBus-enabled app can play right into Blocs Wave to create a pile of loops, which can be further edited for timing and length. The whole array (up to 48 loops) can be exported with a single touch to LaunchPad for spontaneous jamming with control over levels and effects.

I lost count of how many apps I used for the loops. Korg Gadget, Groove Rider, Troublemaker, Arturia iMini, GeoShred, iProphet. iWavetable are some. I even played the Novation Circuit through AudioBus for a few of them.

DJ Mondo’s Atomic Luau: Liftoff

Mars is looking better and better these days. Less noisy than Earth anyway.

And I hear the price on rockets is coming down. So that’s something.

The studio is still kind of a mess. But after the transition, I’ll be in a better position to do more spontaneous live streaming. Just in time for spring.
