Atomic Luau – Midnight Snax Trax with DJ Mondo: Test Pilot

The new Atomic Luau broadcast booth is up and running for more interactive and spontaneous live streams.

This stream featured loops and drum kits created on the Native Instruments Maschine MK3 and the Maschine Jam, with more tunes from the Blocs Wave app (Ampify) from the the iPad. All kept in time by Ableton Link.

Let me know if you like it in the comments. I want to do live streams with some regularity and rotate the gear in the setups (Ableton Push 2 and Novation Circuit are waiting).

DJ Mondo’s Atomic Luau: Play Right (Redux)

The age of automation is accelerating. The functions being taken over applications and robots increase every day.

For the moment, humans are still telling the machines what to do.

I had another go at this tune. It’s made in Beatmaker 3 with loops from various apps and some freestyle GeoShred thrown in. It’s held together by AudioBus 3.

If you feel like dancing, dance…before the machines make it mandatory.
