DJ Mondo’s Atomic Luau: New Kit on the Block – Novation Circuit

DJ Mondo test drives a new piece of kit, the Novation Circuit, and he’s already enthralled.

It has all the features to create a ton of mix-and-match loops with variable effects, all on-the-fly. In a pinch, it’s also a MIDI controller. This one stand-alone device (no computer needed, but works great with Ableton) can keep a party going all night.

DJ Mondo’s Atomic Luau: Pathfinder (20 Years On)

Space exploration enthusiasts, we’re coming up on an important anniversary.

December 4, 2016 is 20 years to the day marking the launch of NASA’s Pathfinder, the vehicle that carried the Sojourner rover to the Martian surface.

In what must be a design jackpot, both the lander and rover totally outlived their expected mission lifetime and returned thousands of images and tons of telemetry to Earth, increasing human knowledge of Mars in unexpected ways.
