DJ Mondo’s Atomic Luau: Dracula is in the House 2018

DJ Mondo’s Atomic Luau: Dracula is in the House 2018

It’s October!

Halloween is creeping up on us again and here at the Atomic Luau it’s time for the 2018 version of Dracula is in the House, my annual attempt to write a dance sensation based on vocal sample from the 1931 film Dracula, starring Bela Lugosi.

I’m a huge fan of that film. Ive watched it maybe 50 times. One line delivered by Dr. Van Helsing deserves to be sampled and turned into a dance tune.

This tune is, of course, dedicated to Edward Van Sloan, the actor who plays Dr. Van Helsing as well as to all the great actors who have played the character Dracula in film over the years, such as:

Bela Lugosi
Christopher Lee
Frank Langella
Gary Oldman
Luke Evans
And of course, the most terrifying, Leslie Neilson

Love it or hate it in the comments below. And, I’m challenging everyone that views it to write and share your own version of Dracula is in the House.

It doesn’t have to be an electronic dance tune. Any style. Any instruments. Do something A cappella or poetry.

Write a one minute song around the phrase ‘Dracula is in the House’ and share the audio or video in the comments below, on Facebook /djmondosrave or on Instagram #draculaisinthehouse2018.

NOT a competition. NOT giving out any prizes. Just want to see how many hardcore Dracula fans will actually accept this challenge by Halloween.

Have fun. Be safe and happy Halloween!
